Biography

Philip is the son of Philip Cline who emigrated from Germany. He married Mary Jane "Polly" Turner on 02 Sep 1799 at Culpeper County, Virginia[1] and they resided in Virginia until 1813 when they moved to Union Township in Clinton County, Ohio. In 1818, the family moved to Sabina in Richland Township, Clinton County, Ohio. They had 3 sons and 4 daughters. Among those children are:

  • John
  • George
  • Elizabeth, m. Thomas Antrim; moved to Iowa
  • Philip

Research Note: Two other children, Maria Cline born 1801 and Henry L Cline born 1819 are believed to be children of this Philip and Mary Cline. Sources needed. Both are listed on the Find a grave bio page.
