His uncle's namesake (Milton Baxter Clinkscales [1853–1887]), when Milton Baxter was born on April 15, 1887, in Starr, South Carolina,[1] his father, Reuben, was 41 and his mother, Mary, was 31. He married Olive Karon Traynham when he was 30 years old.[2] Karon died in 1937[3] and Milton died on August 4, 1942, in Jackson, Georgia, at the age of 55, and was buried in Honea Path, South Carolina.[4]
