Frederick was born in 1831 to John Clissold and Sarah Butt.[1] He travelled to New South Wales with his parents aboard the 'Layton' in 1838.[2] Frederick Clissold married Ann Broomfield in 1869.[3] In 1881 Fredrick purchased land in Katoomba, which he subdivided.[4] He passed away in 1892.[5][6]
