It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Cathi or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Cathi:

As there were no sources on either profile, can you add the sources that led you to this statement.

Unknown-488455 and Unknown-145 appear to represent the same person because: Catherine was married first to Johann Friedrich Baumgärtner and second to Johannes Hirsch / John Deer.

I should add, I am a great-grandson of Diantha's brother, Orpheus Ames. I don't recall if I initially got the birthdate from Charmaigne Ingram (Ames cousin in CA), from a Google book source listed in Loring's sources, or if it was calculated from a census. Since she is your ancestor rather than mine, I made you the profile manager. I am still on the trusted list but not mgr. This is great! I'm glad you are here.

Hi Cathi. Thanks for your message. I believe the birthdate for Diantha came from an Ames cousin, Charmaigne Ingram and calculated from the Fulton County, IL Census, Oct 22, 1850, page 278B, which listed "Loring age 43, farmer, b. Mass.; Almyra age 33, b. New York; Ardelia age 12, all others b. IL; Orpheus age 10; Diantha age 8; Joel age 6; Emily R. age 4". Separately, I see that Family Tree and FindAGrave have it as 1838. I will edit as uncertain, and meanwhile let's make you a profile mgr. of Diantha's profile. That makes more sense for you than for me.

Mayflower Project Member.

I see your profile doesn’t include a mayflower G2G Tag. See “Followed Tags” above. You should have the tag - mayflower -so you can follow pertinent Mayflower activities on G2G. When you add the tag, please include the names of passengers in whom you are interested. Thank you
