DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
Hi Stephanie: glad to hear from you and to know we are second cousins twice removed. I tried to use the Relationship Finder and Connection Tool but it said nothing could be found. I am sure I was doing something wrong. But no matter. I will fill in some other details on my Father's side leading to David Edwin and Mary Jane Call Close. I have several more gens behind those, but have not verified any of them very vigorously. Nice to hear from you. Maybe we will converse again in the future on this side of our common tree branches. - Ken
My father, Egbert Close, is the son of Joseph Ward Close and Emma Wyckoff. I am returned (yet still new) to Wiki-Tree and do not know the protocol for making changes to a person "owned" by someone else. If anyone reads this and can comment, I would appreciate that.
Hi! I created the profile as I was filling out my Close family line. I had only added basic information and hadn't gotten through all of the siblings adding spouses and children. I tend to add things sporadically when I have a little time. Please feel free to add your information, I've been very slow getting everything filled in. I'm sure you have much more to add than the (maybe two dozen?) more people I had info for on this line. Our common ancestor couple is David Edwin and Mary Jane Call Close, we are second cousins twice removed. ~ Stephanie
