Biography

Genevieve Cloutier was baptized 19 May 1719 in the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, L'Islet, Canada, Nouvelle-France. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Cloutier and Marie Anne Gerbert and her godparents were Paul Belanger and Marie Peltier. ^[1]

Jean François Tibault, of the age of twenty-eight years and son of Jean François Tibault and Angelique Proux, and Marie Genevieve Cloutier, of the age of seventeen years and daughter of Jean Baptiste Cloutier and Marie Anne Gerbert, were married 6 Nov 1736 in the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, L'Islet, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Present at the marriage were Jacques Thibault uncle of the groom, Joseph François and Joseph Thibault his brothers, Jean Baptiste and Pierre Cloutier brothers of the bride, Joseph Couillard, Pierre Belanger, Jacques Caron witnesses, and many others. ^[2]

Marie Geneviève Cloutier, wife of Jean Fs Thibault and of the age of about sixty years, died 17 Sep 1770 and was buried 19 Sep 1770 in the cemetery of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, L'Islet, Province de Québec. ^[3]
