Biography

John was baptised on the 29th Dec 1822, in Rodbrough, Gloucestershire, England. John is the son of Joseph Clutterbuck and Sarah Roberts. ^[1]

In 1861, John is employes as the manager of an iron works, and is living at home in Mowmead House, Rodbrough, with his mother Sarah, sister Mary Ann and Aunt Ann Roberts. ^[2]

In 1871 John 47 was still living at Mowmead house and his occupation was a 'wool merchant'. Also in the household are John's mother Sarah, 79 a 'proprieter of houses', sister Mary Ann 44, and Elizabeth Taylor 25 a servant. ^[3]

John died when he was 54 and was buried at Rodbrough on the 23rd of Jun 1877. ^[4]
