Moses COATES/COATS^[1][2] was born around 1687 in Ireland, perhaps in Ballycater, County Carlow.^[3] Moses married Susanna Weldon in Cashell, County Tipperary on 1 May 1715.^[4] Moses and Susanna had at least nine children.
