Benjamin Franklin Cobb was born 1845, in Caswell Co., N.C., the youngest son of Noah Cobb and Jane Dill. His brothers were Archibald D. and (half) Andrew Jackson.[1][2][3]
In 1870, he was farming with his mother in the Locust Hill community in Caswell Co.[4]
On 27 Nov 1877, in Caswell Co., he married his cousin, Nancy "Nannie" Cobb, the daughter of Hugh Ellis Cobb and Sarah Rice.[5] (Henry Cobb and Jemima Morse were his gr. grandparents and her 2nd gr. grandparents.) Their children were Sarah Jane, Monroe Numa, Ada B., Arthur, and Julius Mills. The family farmed in Locust Hill.[6][7]
Benjamin died in 1905. Nannie died in 1922. They are buried at the Archibald Cobb Family Cemetery in Ashland, Caswell Co., with his parents and brother and other family members.[8]
