Horace was born in 1853. He was the son of George Cobb and Maria White.
In 1855 he was living with his parents and two sisters in Chautauqua, New York.
In 1860 he is living with his mother's sister, Harriet Wilcox, in Chautauqua, New York
In 1865 he is back living with his father and a new wife and baby brother in Chautauqua, New York
In 1870 there is no change in the family and they are still living in Chautauqua, New York
In 1875 he is back living with his aunt Harriet's family. He is now 21 years old.
He is not found in the 1880 census.
The 1890 census is lost.
In 1900 he is married to Hattie, they are living in New Salem town, Pike County, Illinois, with their 5 children, ages newborn to 13 yrs. He and Hattie have been married for 13 years. His occupation is carpenter. Hattie was born and raised in New Salem.
In 1910 they are still in New Salem, Illinois. His wife Hattie and 3 children are still at home. His occupation is laborer at odd jobs.
On 12 August 1913, at the age of 59 years, Horace passed away in New Salem, and is buried in the Swigget cemetery in New Salem.[1] His occupation was carpenter.
