Charlewood Cobb grew up in Margate, Kent, where his father, A.B. Cobb, was a banker. In 1881, he lived with his parents and two younger brothers at 29 Dalby Square. A cook, a nurse and a housemaid also lived with the family. [1]Charlewood attended Radley College in Oxfordshire from 1888 to 1891.[2] Two years after leaving Radley, he emigrated to Canada.
In 1901 he lived with his wife Carrie, young daughter Margaret and his sister-in-law Beatrice Sutherland in west Toronto, Ontario.[3] In 1921 he and Carrie lived at 109 Balmoral Avenue in Toronto with Margaret and their son-in-law Alfred Gibson. Charlewood's occupation in the 1921 Census is listed as "collector."[4]
Charlewood died suddenly at Honey Harbour, Ontario, on October 22, 1945.[5]
