Isabel Cobham was the daughter of John Cobham. Her place in the Cobham pedigree is confirmed by a case in the plea rolls to determine the heirs of her father folling the death of Elizabeth Charleston in 1417.[1] She was born say 1295, given that her son is estimated to have been born around 1320
Research Notes
The Bamfield family occurs in a plea roll proceeding in 1418 to determine the right heirs of Elizabeth Charleston who died without issue. The pedigree given was John Bampfeld, son of (this) Thomas, son of John, son of Isabel, daughter of John de Cobham.[2]
