Biography

Daniel Coble, born in 1840, was a son of Samuel Coble and Catherine Aughinbaugh. [1]He was born and lived in York County Pennsylvania until July of 1861, when he joined the Civil War at Metamora Indiana with Co F, 18th Indiana Volunteers. He discharged in Indiana where he had married Sarah Albert, even though not yet divorced from Elizabeth Eubank. Sarah and David remarried in 1867. [2]

Sarah and Daniel had at least five children, listed below. [3][4] [5] In 1884, the Coble family traveled by wagon train to Ellensburg WA in 1884 where they built and operated a boarding house on Pearl Street, called the Coble House. Daniel died in 1926 at Ellensburg [6][7]
