Jacuqes Cochu est né à Ingouville, faubourg de Le Havre-de-Grâce, France, le 20 juillet 1659.[1] Il était le fils de René Cochu et Madeleine Legrand, mariés à Ingouville, St-Michel, France.

Jacques Cochu et Marie Morin se sont mariés à Beaubassin, en Acadie, le 8 novembre 1682.[2][1]

Concession de la seigneurie de la Grande-Rivière (à la Baie des Chaleurs) le 31-5-1697, reconcédée à ses héritiers le 15-10-1750

Occupation: Navigateur

Il mourut et fut inhumé le 26 octobre 1706 à Notre-Dame-de-Québec.[1][3]

Jacques (Cocheu) Cochu was born on 20 Jul 1659 in Ingouville, Normandie, France.

In 1686, at Chiqnitou dit Beaubassin, Jacques COCHU, aged 26, was living with his wife, Marie MORIN, aged 20, and their child, Pierre, aged 6. The family owned 2 guns and was living on 6 arpents of cultivable land with 4 sheep and 6 hogs.[4]
