Biography

James Cockran[1] was born in 1749 in Augusta (later Harrison) County, Virginia].[2]
On 20 July 1777, when he was in his later twenties, he married Temperance Morgan. She bore him one known child, a son whom they named Zackquill.[1]
On 13 November 1830, when he was eighty-one, he died in Harrison County, Virginia],, Harrison County, Virginia, USA.[2] of unknown causes.
He is buried in Middleville Road Cemetery, Harrison County, West Virginia.[2] HARRISON Co., VA, USA.

According to his gravestone, his surname was spelled Cochran, not Cockran. Last name at birth should probably be changed to Cochran.
