George's marriage was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1903 in the Newcastle T. district.[4]
In the 1911 census George (age 47), Shop Clerk, was the married head of household in Elswick, Northumberland, England.[5]

Another George Robert Cockburn was born at about the same time in Newcastle upon Tyne, son of Robert Cockburn. He married Mary Elizabeth Bolton[6] and was a was a machine worker in Westgate, Northumberland, in 1901[7] and 1911.[8]
