Biography

Henry Cocke was born in 1538, son of master of requests, John Cocke, and his wife, Ann Goodere. ^[1] He was educated at St John's College, Cambridge, and Inner Temple. ^{[1] [2]}

His father died in 1557 and his mother subsequently married Sir George Penruddock. ^[1]

Henry married Ursula Bury, daughter of James Bury of Hampton Poyle in Oxfordshire. ^{[1] [3]}They were parents of a son and two daughters. ^{[1] [3]}

Henry died on the 24th of March 1610 ^[1] leaving two daughters, Frances and Elizabeth. ^[4][5]
