Delmar had knee replacement surgery at the North Platte Regional Med Center on Wednesday June 24 and was recovering better than expected. His son Dick and his family were up to see him in the hospital on Saturday. During his physical therapy walk he calapsed and died of a massive heart attack. Dick did get to talk to his father after his attack and before his passing. Delmar said there was no pain just ran out of gas. He was gone within 10 minutes of onset.[1]
