Emma Cockroft was born in England in about 1883. She moved to Canada in 1911.

In 1916, she married Herbert Jackson.^[1]

She died in Minto, Manitoba, on 12 March 1921.^[2] She was buried in Boyd Cemetery.^[3][4]
