Domenico Valente and his wife Giovanna Cocozza came to Göteborg in January 1902, with a son born in Germany in 1901. They found lodgings at Kungsgatan 11.[1] Their son died in April and her husband died in November 1905, leaving Giovanna with two daughters..
According to the parish register for Masthugget Giovanna Cocozza, wife of Giuseppe Arcari, was born in Italy 15 April 1871 and brought two daughters from a previous marriage (surnamed Valente) with her.[2]
1923 - Moved from Gothenburg to Stockholm, Sweden. Lived with husband and one child. [Source: Rotemansarkivet, Stockholm]
Giuseppe Arcari with wife Giovanna, their daughter in common and one of Giovanna's daughters arrived in Snöstorp from Brännkyrka (Stockholm) in December 1924. They went back to Brännkyrka in October 1925.[3]
1925 - Moved from Snöstorp (N) to Stockholm where they were registered until 1926, when this register ends. Överståthållarämbetet, Skatteverket. Rotemännens arkiv. [4] The family is in the moving-in book for Brännkyrka[5] but since the corresponding parish register is not published one would have to slog through the moving-out book in order to find them. They are not in the Swedish census 1940 and do not seem to have been found in Svensk Dödbok, so they probably went back to Italy.
