Ingrid was born in Greytown, Kwa Zulu Natal, in 1957 and grew up there, attending both the junior and high school in Greytown. Following matriculation, she moved to Pietermartizburg where she underwent her nursing and midwifery training at Grey's Hospital from 1975 to 1981, working as clinical midwifery tutor.
Then, after a stint as a medical rep in Durban, Ingrid's daughter Jacqueline was born in 1984. Then she moved to the community clinic in Pinetown where she served 12 years as community health nurse (from 1984 to 1996). She married her husband Gerald, in 1991.
1997 saw a move to New Zealand, where she spent a year doing casual work in Auckland, and taking care of Jacqueline who developed acute leukaemia. Then the family moved to Hamilton and Ingrid spent a decade working as clinical, and subsequently, general manager at an aged care facility.
In 2007, her daughter Jacqueline married Duncan Phillips, a Kiwi, and they moved across the ditch to Perth a few months later. In 2009, Ingrid and her husband also moved to Perth.

Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree! When you are ready, do you know how to add sources for your info? Here's a page with more information about sourcing: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
"Own Ancestry.com Family Tree" isn't a sufficient source for WikiTree.
