She is the daughter of William Coffey and Elizabeth Osborne. [1]

Will

I Margaret Monroe of the county of Nelson, State of Virginia, advanced in age and in weak state of health but of sound mind do make and order this to be my last will and testament. In the manner and form following.

First, after my death I give and bequest to my son George Monroe and his heirs forever the tract of land on which he now resides, being the tract of land derived to me by the last will and testament of William Coffey, Decd. estimated to contain ninety nine acres bordered by the lands of Edmund F. Coffey and the lands of Nelson Monroe Decd. and others also all Moines (if any) which may be due to me from the executors of this said William Coffey Decd. by virtue of his the said William Coffey's Decd. will. And all my household furniture and property of every description whatever I gave and desire that my daughter Patsy Monroe may be permitted to build a cabin on any part of the above mentioned land my son George Monroe may see fit with one or two acres attached to the cabin where my said daughter Patsy may be permitted to reside during her natural life. Should she think it proper. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said son George Monroe my eexecutor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore.
