Hi Judith!

Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper: Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging. We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community. And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways. As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions! Matt~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Howdy!

Just checking in to see how things are going :)

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find existing profiles to link into so it's important to do a thorough search before adding someone!

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have questions I can help with?

We hope you will like our collaborative genealogy community. You now have full access to all the features of WikiTree. There is an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. We do emphasize Sources at WikiTree as well as dates and locations as you build your family tree here . Thank you and if you have any questions , please feel free to ask . Maggie

My father was James H. Coffey, his father was Lewis Nelson Coffey, his father was Nelson Coffey and his father was Samuel Coffey who was born in New York or Vermont. Samuel's father I believe is Anthony Coffee who lived in Vermont and New York from 1781 to 1830. Anthony was married to Abigail Hays at Pownal Center Vermont in 1781.
