James Martin Coffey who (according to records from the National Archives) "Mustered into the army in Indiana, on August 15, 1861 (enlisting at the same time as his brother, Christopher C. Coffey.) "Enlisted as a Private on 15 August 1861 Enlisted in Company I, 22nd Infantry Regiment Indiana. Died Company I, 22nd Infantry Regiment Indiana; December 1861 in Syracuse, MO"
