  • Fact: http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch Information at Dover, NH "Woodman's Museum" about Tristram Coffin and his father's family in Dover during the Cocheco Massacre. The massacre occurred in the shadow of King Phillip's war. However, the locals of Dover were on peaceful terms with the aboriginal natives; about 25% were massacred. The museum kiosk reads "Cap't Peter Coffin's Garrison was looted but not destroyed since the Indians had no grudge against him. He was taken as a captive to his son's garrision." Also, "Tristam Coffin was Peter's son. His garrison withstood the attack, but the Indians threatened to kill Peter if not admitted. Tristam let them in. They looted the garrison and made the Coffin's captives, but they were able to escape." -Museum data recorded 16 Dec, 2017, by Kelly Child

Coffin-3369 and Coffin-220 appear to represent the same person because: currently brothers but they seem the same

Is this the correct Tristram, or is it the one born 1 January, 1689. See new bio.
