Samuel Kaufman is the son of Michael Kauffman (1714-1788 Lancaster Co., PA). Michael Kauffman gave his son, Samuel the Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania farm on 18 Dec 1788 as referenced in Kauffman-Coffman, page 549- deed in Lancaster Co., PA. (SEE IMAGES). Samuel is E1 in Charles Fah Kauffman's book. Samuel's line starts on page 554.[2]
RESEARCH TO DO NOTE: Michael died a few days later in Virginia- need to check and see if this deed is also recorded in Virginia records as well as Pennsylvania records.

Samuel has a nice Findagrave Memorial indicating he is buried at the Trissels Mennonite Church Cemetery in Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. There is a photograph of his now illegible headstone.[3]
