Martin Garber Coffman was born in 1816. He is the son of Christian Coffman and Catherine Garber. He married Virginia Gilbert in about 1837. In 1850 they are enumerated on the federal census in Augusta County, Virginia. [1] In 1860, they are in Washington County, Iowa. [2] In 1880 and 1900, Martin, now widowed, is in Ventura County, California. [3][4] Martin died in 1902.
