Biography
David Coffman was born in 1819. He is the son of Christian Coffman and Catherine Garber. David married Barbara Flory sometime before December 1841 when their eldest child, daughter Sarah, was born. David's wife's maiden name is recorded in the marriage and death records of his children. In 1850, the family is enumerated on the federal census in Augusta County, Virginia. [1] In 1860, the family is in Keokuk County, Iowa where he would remain. [2][3][4][5] David died in 1890. [6]
