Biography

Abraham was born in 1879. He was the son of Lazarus Cohen and Fanny Garmaise.

Sisters Malca and Libbie Vineberg married first cousins Abraham and Isidore Cohen, respectively.

I notice that you have listed on your page the Lazarus Cohen family who were part of the community, arriving here from Poland in 1869. You might be interested to know that the village they arrived at, and resided in until moving to Montreal around 1885, was 'Maberly', located in South Sherbrooke Township of Lanark County (now Tay Valley Township). Their second son, Zebulen, was born here.
