Thanks for your message regarding Benton-164 and Benton-165. No, no-one proposed a merge.
I was browsing through the list of Benton profiles and noticed that the two were right next to each other (which can often signify duplicate profiles if both profiles have the same manager).
Although it's apparent when you compare the profiles that they are father and son, because there are no dates for either profile I thought it advisable to create a rejected match. That way, if anyone else thinks they may be the same person, and tries to propose a merge, it will flag up that they aren't.
Thanks for contributing to Puritan Great Migration profiles over the last six months. Every little bit helps, so please keep those edits coming!
Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members twice per year and it's that time again. Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
If you'd like to continue as a PGM project team member
If you're happy with the team you're on (Research and/or Profile Improvement) or if you'd like to make a change
Optionally, what you like since the reboot back in May or what you think could be improved. This could be something about Discord, or Google Groups, or managed profile spreadsheets, or challenge participation or really anything. If you like everything the way it is, you can let me know that too :)
If you'd like to tell me about a particular project or family you're working on, I'd love to hear about that as well.
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. I look forward to hearing from you.
I'm looking at the profile for Stewart-1001 (King Robert II of Scotland) and notice it has 11 profile managers at present - many more than the maximum 5 recommended in the page Help:Profile_Manager. Given you don't hold a pre-1500 badge, would you have any objection to removing yourself? Apologies if you're planning to get the badge and this is underway. Many thanks
I have given you the PGM Project member badge. Please read the project guidelines carefully. Reliable inline sources and good written biographies are what we strive for.
Glad to have you aboard. Please be sure to add PGM to your followed TAGs.

Re; John Alford, do no know how he managed to be on Simon Stone's list of children, I saw him on the Stone Name Study and thought this is odd, changes show a merge had been made at one time and no profile manager. I believe he should be disconnected since you are not showing a connection to Simon Stone either.
Regards,
Cheryl Stone Caudill
Please merge Amos Clift (Clift-50) and his brother Unknown Amos (Amos-72). They are the same person. Amos Clift (Clift-50) is the correct name. Thanks.
Thank you for the quick response about Nathaniel Clift. I did some checking and the Unknown Amos is a duplicate of the other Amos. We may have to wait and do an Unresponsive Profile Manager request as that profile manager for Nathaniel Clift has not made any contributions since August 2014.
Marc, thanks for handling the Douglas merge. Looks like you did it right. A lot of people on Ancestry have mixed in that Scottish born guy, but he is definitely NOT our Douglas. Ancestry trees are such a mess, they should never be used indiscriminately or as documentation for anything. ~Angela
I noticed you are working on some of our earlier profiles. I just wanted to let you know that today we're starting to introduce restrictions on who can add and edit profiles of people born before 1500. To edit early profiles, you will need the "Pre-1500 Certified" badge.
Here is a link to information you said you needed, showing that Samuel married twice. He married both Sarah Manning and Elizabeth Brigham. With Sarah he had Sarah, Samuel, and Dorothy; and with Elizabeth he had Persis, Edmond, and another Sarah. There are more records but this one shows you clearly.
You declined some merges that I proposed. I just re-checked them, and will re-submit them. This time please approve them. There is absolutely no doubt that they represent the same people, so they need to be merged.

Thanks for your attention to detail. I anxiously look forward to your merging that family now.
Have a great day.
