Sarah Coit was born on 27 Sep 1786 in Preston, Litchfield, Connecticut, daughter of Wheeler Coit and Sybil (Tracy) Coit.
Sarah married Thomas Day on 18 Mar 1813. Their children were[1], all born in Hartford, Connecticut:

- Thomas Mills Day, b. Nov 21, 1817
- Catharine Augusta Day, b. Aug 6, 1819

- Ellen Day, b. Sept 7, 1829.
