Biography
Donald was born about 1922. He was the son of Arthur Coker and Addie Turner. He passed away about 2017.
Donald Marcus Coker, age 90, and a resident of Belen NM, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on December 26, 1926 in Delaware, Oklahoma. He served our nation honorably in Japan at the end of World War II. Donald retired from a long career with El Paso Natural Gas Company. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Donald enjoyed traveling, painting, woodwork, and especially his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee Coker and Addie Elzora Coker of Nowata, Oklahoma; his first wife, Wanda Louise Coker; his siblings, Flora Gretchen Coker, Clomer Leslie Coker, Floy May Coker, Woodrow Wilson Coker, Douglas Turner Coker, Mack D Coker, Susie Margret Coker, Elven Lee Coker, and Francis Fern Coker; his grandson, David Marshall Coker; and son in law, Ross Herbert Campbell.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Wanda Francis Coker; his daughter, Dona Louise Topmiller and her husband, Vic; sons, Glen Mark Coker and his wife, Susan, Scott Wayne Coker, William Dale Coker, Marshall Wayne Coker and his wife, Beverly, Mickey Lenn Coker and his wife, Terressa, and Rickey Glen Coker and his wife, Dianna. Donald is also survived by his grandchildren, Shawn Alexander Campbell, Christopher Michael Campbell, Matthew Alan Campbell, Greg Allen Coker, Jason Lee Coker, Marcus Conrad Coker, Sharon Louise Coker, Brian Dale Coker, Mellisa Rae Coker, Ronald William Coker, Zachary James Coker, Megan Mickenzie Coker, Jonathan Alexander Coker, Clinton Erick Coker, Jesse Teressa Pedersen and Brandon Boggs. Donald was also blessed by many great grand children.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14 at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., (505)864-4448.
