Biography

Edward was born on 17 December 1874 in Islington Workhouse Infirmary, Islington, London, England. He was the son of Richard Coker and Mary Ann (West) Coker.

In 1881, Edward (age about 6) was residing with his mother, maternal aunt, and three siblings in Islington, Middlesex. [1]

In 1891 Edward (age about 16) was employed as a Shopboy at an unknown location and was residing in Islington with his uncle, Henry James. [2]

When Edward was about 23 he married Emma Susannah Broadhead on 5 Jun 1897 in Register Office, Islington, London, England.

In 1901 Edward (age about 26) was employed as a Chimney Sweep at an unknown location.

When Edward was 27 he married Alice Eliza (Byford) Coker on 31 December 1901 in Register Office, Islington, London, England. The couple had 3 children: Samuel G Coker, Edith Maggie Coker and Richard John Coker.

In 1919 Edward (age about 44) was employed as a Barman at an unknown location.

In 1921 Edward (age about 46) was employed as a Chimney Sweep at an unknown location.

Edward died at the age of 46 on 29 June 1921 at 199 Dartmouth Park Hill, St Pancras, London, England.
