Biography

When Ephraim Cole was born on August 31, 1756, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, his father, Ephraim, was 25 and his mother, Hannah, was 25. He married Silence Webb on December 18, 1777, in Brockton, Massachusetts.[1]

They had seven children in 25 years. Their oldest child was Hannah Cole, born & baptized on 3 September 1780 in Brockton, Plymouth, Massachusetts. She married Silas Snow in 1800. [2]

Ephraim Cole died on March 29, 1828, in Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, at the age of 71, and was buried at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA.

Revolutionary War Rolls of North Bridgewater, MA reveal that Ephraim Cole, along with his uncle Joseph (Sgt.) and uncle Eleazer (Drummer) was a private in the company of Minute Men at Lexington Green on 19 April 1775.
