When Capt. Parker Cole was born in 1780 in Shaftsbury, Vermont, his father, Freegift, was 38 and his mother, Mary, was 35. He had three daughters with Ruth (Maiden Name Unknown) between 1803 and 1808. They were Elsah 1803-1885, Sarah 1807-1883, and Olive who died young. After Elsah was born the family removed to Kingsbury, New York. He died as a young father on August 11, 1808, in Kingsbury, New York, at the age of 28, and was buried in Hudson Falls, New York.
