16:52, 20 March 2018 (EDT)16:52,

I was born in Memphis, Tennessee but my family lived in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I attended school in Arkansas and Memphis, graduated from South Side High School and attended the University of Memphis. I worked at Memphis Light, Gas & Water for 38 years. I married my soulmate, Walter in 1960 and we celebrated 48 wonderful years together and had three terrific daughters. We now have six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I have been blessed by the Lord more than I can ever say and look forward to being with Him in Heaven. I thank all the WikiTreers for all the hard work; I have always been interested in genealogy but working as much as I did, no time! So far, I have been blown away by the people in my tree. I really wish my father were still alive so I could tell him he was related to George Washington and Old King Cole. He would love it!

Hi Karen

If you are focusing on the Cole side for now that is fine.

Many new members don't join a project immediately however the projects often have useful information and research links.

When you do start adding your husband's side is when you can explore the Italian project.

You might want to delete all the times at the start of your biography when you make changes this data is listed under the change tab you can see on the private side of your profile.

Removing these will give your profile a cleaner look. Hopefully your visual impairment won't slow you down too much.

Please avoid abbreviations especially in locations fields as these are not always understood by others from different countries

Many thanks for joining Wikitree

Best Wishes

Janet

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. Please ensure location data matches date of profile and avoid abbreviations Now it is time to pick a project for the 1700's profiles. Please ensure location data matches date of profile and avoid abbreviations. Ensure citations & links are provided for sources.

TheItalian Roots would be a good fit with the contributions you added to the tree. Adding the tag talian_Roots will get updates for the project

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list for another project that may fit better

Any questions let me know

Hi Karen,

In answer to your DNA question, you sent to Bill!

To enter your Ancestry DNA test you enter your Ancestry.com ID only. It has to be exactly what it is at Ancestry or the system will reject it.

At WikiTree we do not analyze or store your RAW DNA. We help DNA cousins find each other.

When you add your DNA test information, it takes about 24 hours for the system to add your profile link to the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants. That is why there need to be profiles for your ancestors.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
