Biography

Mary was baptised at Campton, Bedfordshire on 1 March 1737, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Cole.^[1]

She married John Arch on 1 Oct 1759 at Campton, Bedfordshire, bachelor and spinster, both of Shefford.^[2]

Mary and John Arch lived in a shop later occupied by the Caton family in Shefford, now the site of a bank, at the corner opposite Shefford Church. Both were buried in Campton churchyard, having died in Shefford. The Caton family was John and Mary's granddaughter Rebecca (Cooper) Caton (bef.1788-1867) by their daughter Mary.^[3]
