Biography

Solomon Cole was born 8 January 1547. ^[1]

He married Mary Deering, daughter and heiress to Thomas Deering of Lyss in the county of Southampton, and from her inherited the property.^[2][3]

They had five sons and two daughters.

• Thomas Cole, married Mary Waller, daughter of Thomas Waller of Beconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
• Henry Cole, who married 1st, Susan Michelborne, heiress to Michelborns of Hammons in Suffolk a nd brother to Sir Edward Michelborne, 2nd to Thomas Fantleroy of Crundall, Huntindonshire.
• John Cole.
• Solomon Cole.
• George Cole, killed at the Siege of Burse, Netherlands, in 1629.
• Mary Cole, married Joseph Ady of Duddington, Kent.
• Winefred Cole, married to John Wood, of Ditton, Surrey.
