Albert Coles, son of Charles P. Coles and Azeline Fruge, was born on 17 September 1876 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, United States. He was baptized at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas.[1]
Albert married Marie Martha Pitre in Opelousas. They applied for a marriage license on 12 August 1897, and were wed in the church on 2 September 1897.[2]
Albert, Martha and their children were enumerated during the 1900 census, living on a farm they rented in Police Jury Ward 3 (east part), St. Landry Parish.[9]
