Biography
Joan Cole is noticed as the daughter of Simon Cole of Slade (Slade is an estate in the Parish of Cornwood in Devon).[1] The source does not provide dates of her birth.
She married William Heale, the son of Roger Hele of Cornwood (South Hele). They had five sons and a daughter:[2]
John Heale of Hele, eldest, wife name not provided in source, left an heir, Walter Heal, of South Heal who married Jane Fortescue, daughter of Thomas Fortescue, esq. of Wymerston in Devon and had children.
Hugh Heale, of Cornwood. Will become ancestor to that family and of Diptford, Devon.
Nicholas Heale esq, of South Heale. Married 1st. Dyonisia Woodley, daughter of Walter Woodley, esq. of Tidbourne St. Mary in Devon and had two sone and a daughter; William, John and Joanne. He married 2nd. Margery Downe, daughetr of Richard Downe, esq. of Holdsworthy in Devon and had four sons; Thomas, Hugh, Walter and Sir John.

Joan Heale; married John Stert, esq. of Devon.
She is styled Joan, daughter of Simon Cole of Slade, County Devon, in the official inquiry of her son's death. [3]

Coles-446 and Cole-98 appear to represent the same person because: Name and gender are wrong. Name is close enough to have been a typo and the birth/death dates are the same. Looked up on other genealogy websites. Thanks
