  • "Onesiphorus Cole" the son of "Israel Cole" and "Lois Dogget" was born in Liverpool on December 1, 1790

    • "The Liverpool Packet", the first Nova Scotian privateer to get to sea, Captain Barss, commander, Siphorous Cole on board. He was also with Captain Robertts on the schooner, "Wolverine" of Liverpool, NS. The schooner "Rover" of Liverpool, NS of the mouth of the Connecticut on 16 January 1813 defending the sloop "Betsy" from recapture, Siphorous the Rover's Lieutenant was killed in this dangerous adventure of privateering. [Under the Red Jack, page 40]
