"Maine Marriages" has a record for John D. Cole of Lee, Maine, and Bertha J. Lombard of Caribou, Maine, married on Jan. 9, 1916. The 1920 census shows them in East Millinocket, Penobscot, Maine. This might be the same John Cole.

In 1930, he lived with his new wife, Bertha L. in East Millinocket, ME.

His daughter Amy's marriage records implies that he was still living in 1934, at the age of 75, as a salesman in East Millinockett, ME.
