Biography

Jacob Cole born 29 Mar 1856, son of William and Harriett (Kidwell) Cole, husband of Annie B. Cole, died 22 July 1923. [1]

15 Jan 1915 Mr and Mrs John Sutton are stopping with Mr and Mrs Cole, who have been very ill. Mrs Cole is up and around. Mrs Cole is improving slowly.
12 Feb 1915 The many friends of Mr Jacob Cole (who has been sick with pneumonia) will be glad to hear he is improving.
19 Mar 1920 Mrs Cole with her sons are occupying a portion of the home of W. R. Gray. The boys are employed in Mr. Gray's greenhouse.
23 Dec 1921 Mr Cole who operated the farm of Mr Harry Willcoxen has moved to Oakton with his family.
23 Dec 1921 The new home building for Mrs Cole near Sanger station is rapidly approaching completion and she expects to move into it early in the coming year.
20 Jan 1922 Mrs Cole and family have moved into their new home near Sanger Station.
21 Sep 1923 Mrs Cole and family who have been residing near Sanger station have returned to their home in New York. Mr Leeds has purchased the Cole property.

"Jacob Cole, a well known old resident and farmer of the Five Oaks neighborhood died Saturday night last following an illness of several months of paralysis. The deceased, who was 69 years of age, was highly respected by everyone and his death is causing sincere regret. He is survived by his wife and a daughter and son, Miss Sarah Cole and Mr Guy Cole. His funeral took place Tuesday morning and the body was taken to Occuquan and laid at rest."
