Biography

When Mercy (Cole), (Luther) Chase was born on August 5, 1718, in Swansea, Massachusetts, her father, Joseph, was 31, and her mother, Mary, was 19. She married William Chase and they had four children together. She then married James Luther and they had three children together. She died on October 20, 1809, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, at the impressive age of 91.
