Birth

George Cole was born in about 1809 in Maine, United States.

He married Harriet Unknown (1806-1873) before 1838.

Known Children of the Cole-Unknown Marriage

  1. Sarah Maria Cole, known as Minnie was born in 1839 in Maine, United States. She married Melville Cox Linscott (1836-1925) on 7 June 1865 in Readfield, Kennebec, Maine. Minnie died in 1871 in Kansas, United States in childbirth.
  2. Carrie Cole was born on 14 May 1848 in Massachusetts, United States. She married, as his 2nd wife, Melville Cox Linscott (1836-1925) on 4 August 1873 in Manhattan, Riley, Kansas. Carrie died giving birth to Sarah Linscott on 13 August 1883 in Milford, Davis (later Geary), Kansas, United States.

Death and Burial

George died in 1878 in Kansas, United States at the age of 69. He was buried in the Milford Shenck Branscom Cemetery, Milford, Geary, Kansas. Headstone photo is available. Find A Grave: Memorial #58469238

PLEASE do not change the placement of the reference and footnote notations. 1/2 of the census data and other is lost if you do. No rule that I know of that says you have to have no space between "Sources" and References or can't have footnotes. Thank you.
