From FAG: Luther Green Cole age 77 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home. He was born July 3, 1937 in Carver, Kentucky to the late John and Nannie Salyer Neighbors Cole. He was the husband of the late Louella Barton Cole. Survivors include one grandson, Chase Lewis of Nashville, TN one granddaughter, Kaylee Lewis of Morehead, Kentucky, one step son, Sidney Sprague of Lexington, Kentucky, one step daughter; Rebecca Clark of Dayton, Ohio, six nephews, three nieces, and several step grandchildren.

Luther attended Eastern Kentucky University where he majored in Criminology. After marrying his wife Louella, they moved to Washington D.C. where he worked as a Firefighter for several years before finally moving back to Lexington, Kentucky where he became employed by the Police Department as a Crime Scene Investigator until retirement in 1990.

In addition to his parents and wife, Luther is preceded in death by six brothers; Custer Cole, Frank Cole, Oscar Cole, Morris Cole, Herbert Cole, and Cash Cole, and two sisters; Hazel Schall, and Vera Gann.
