Historical Notes
Parker Cole was the only son of Ebenezer who remained in Shaftsbury.
He accumulated a large amount of property. A large house built by him of dressed stone, probably erected in 1773, still stands in perfect condition (in 1908).
He owned a very large orchard, erected a cider mill and presses, used to store the cider in the cellar, and probably made applejack. It is said that his sons, some of them, became tipplers, and to strike at the root of the evil he burned his cider mill and presses, and cut down his orchards. (from Byron Cole's Book)

Cole-1299 and Cole-6983 appear to represent the same person because: Cole-6983 is a duplicate of cole-1299 I believe due to the birth date being correct other than + 100 years (typo), and in the Bio referencing the same father and his first wife which is incorrect because Mary Bosworth died 7 years before Parker was born.
