Biography

Wilmouth Coleman is a part of US Black heritage.

Wilmouth was born about 1817.^[1] The father of at least one of her children was Alfred Coleman.^[2] Enslaved by Henry Grafton Dulany at Oakley Plantation in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Because of the dates, handwriting, and known facts, it is probable that Ida Powell Dulany wrote those two pages of names c. 1860.
