Grizzell (Coleman) Edwards was alive in 1763 when her father Daniel Coleman wrote his will (probated 22 January 1770), alive in 1771 when her mother Patience Elliott wrote her will (probated 26th August 1771), and alive in 1784 when she was listed as 'Head of Household' Grissell Edwards in Cumberland County, VA. Grizzle Edwards was still alive in 1827 when a Cumberland Co., VA Chancery court oversaw the land and personal estate of William Edwards 1758-1803, as his mother had taken over raising his orphaned children and she never completed the administration of his estate.
