David Crawford Coleman, 98, of Dayton died Wednesday morning (May 11, 1966) in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, following a brief illness. Born Nov. 5, 1867, in Porter Twp., Jefferson County, he was a son of John and Clara Bish Coleman. A resident of Dayton for 62 years where he owned and operated the David C. Coleman Foundry for a number of years, he was a member of the Dayton Methodist Church. On April 17, 1889, he married Rachel M. Whitesel who died in 1936. He later married Elizabeth E. Highfield who passed away in 1958, and he was married to Carrie Kiehl who died in 1962. Survivors include a son, Edward W. Coleman of Pittsburgh; and a sister Mrs. Margaret Sugars of Elks Run, Pa. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Interment in St. Jacob Cemetery, Porter Twp., Jefferson County.[1]
